Shlomo 95.94% is an (almost) biographical graphic novel about my father who is affected by short-term memory. The book unfolds the story of his life while trying to convey to the reader the experience of memory impairment.
This impairment is translated in the book into short, non-linear comic strips. The book runs on two parallel axes: a personal and emotional text, in the first person from my daughter's point of view, as opposed to a medical and emotionless text, which describes my father's complex clinical condition after the brain event.
The book was originally written as my final project at Shankar College in 2017 and has since been A long journey of re-editing, upgrades and expansions. It is illustrated and written by hand with watercolors, colored pencils, a human hand, humor and lots of love.
