The October 2026 Birthday Issue marks 30 years of Wallpaper* with a 356-page anniversary edition guest-edited by Palace Skateboards. Instead of a conventional design-magazine celebration, the issue brings Palace’s irreverent visual culture into Wallpaper*’s world of architecture, interiors, art, fashion and creative living — a strong crossover issue for readers interested in design culture, streetwear, skateboarding and collectible magazines.
Also inside: the new home of the Zaha Hadid Foundation in the former Design Museum building, the 25th edition of Wallpaper*’s Architects’ Directory, a Japanese tea atelier inside Berlin’s Funkhaus, audio installations as an antidote to visual overstimulation, the 100th anniversary of the Rolex Oyster, and a 30th-birthday cake project with contributions from architecture, fashion, art, design, food and jewellery.
